Impressionist Abstract Landscapes; ICM Gallery
June 2 - July 6, 2022 Karen will have a solo exhibition at the Trinity Art Gallery in Ottawa at the Shenkman Arts Centre highlighting her Impressionist body of work. Hope to see you there!
Be in touch about custom orders and sizes!
All of the movement you see in my work is created in-camera during the shooting process.
The ICM concept: Intentional Camera Movement.
The photographer works with aperture, ISO settings, possibly on-camera filters and a slower shutter speed to capture movement within the image creating an impressionist style.
I can capture movement by using a tripod and creating a long exposure image, or by moving the camera itself during the exposure and, using a slow shutter speed, create movement for my camera to capture. (ICM)
Movement is a strong theme in much of my current work and I love creating images that show its beauty and grace.
